The following guidelines outline the ideals of a Polkadot Hub, making it an attractive place to be a part of. Different Hubs may vary in size and the services offered, but standards should remain high across all of them.
<aside> 💡 Take a look and, based on the size of your Hub and the services you intend to offer, decide what makes sense to embrace. It's important to note that these are ideals, not rigid requirements; they serve as illustrations of the point. In the end, a Hub will be local team’s responsibility.

Optimise the layout to accommodate various areas such as workstations, meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, lounges, and common areas. Design the space to facilitate movement and interaction while maintaining a clear separation between different functional zones.
Incorporate modular furniture and flexible layouts that can be easily reconfigured to accommodate changing needs and support different types of activities.
Ideally the venue allows for expansion and growth
Create designated private spaces such as quiet rooms or individual offices to allow for focused work or confidential conversations.
Provide comfortable and ergonomic workstations, chairs, and adjustable desks to support the well-being and productivity of users.
Implement soundproofing measures or utilise acoustic panels to minimise noise disruptions and create a quiet and focused working environment.
Include comfortable seating, relaxation zones, or breakout spaces to offer users opportunities for rejuvenation and informal interactions.
Install fire alarms, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers according to local regulations. Clearly mark emergency exits and ensure the availability of evacuation plans and regular fire safety drills.
Every polkadot Hub should have an evacuation plan in case of fire or other physical catastrophes (flood, earthquakes, …)
Maintain proper air circulation, ventilation systems, and consider air purification measures to ensure a healthy indoor environment.
Design the hub with consideration for accessibility standards, including ramps, elevators, and accessible restrooms, to accommodate individuals with disabilities.
Ensure ample natural light and use a combination of natural and artificial lighting to provide well-lit spaces that promote user well-being and productivity.
